This probably won’t get a lot of use, but I’ve started using my PS3 a lot, so figured I start a new thread!

I had a £100 Cex voucher, so I went on a bit of a spending spree and picked up The Orange Box, No More Heroes: Heroes’ Paradise, Rune Factory: Oceans and Silent Hill HD Collection.

I also grabbed Drakengard 3 from the PlayStation Store.

More recent ones were The Bureau: XCOM Declassified and XCOM: Enemy Within, with plenty in the backlog like all the PS3 Ratchet & Clanks and Killzone.

I've been going over some games that were specifically only for the PS3/X360 generation (minus PC ports) lately. It really takes me back, and it's interesting to see how good games back then can still hold up even now in terms of gameplay.

It was also an era of no microtransaction BS, but there are still games out there with failed "multiplayer pass" experimentation that got scraped hahaha.

Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition

I played this via backwards compatibility on Xbox several years back, but I never played it on PlayStation. My PS3 copy of it is going to be arriving in the mail today. I'm not sure when I will end up playing it, but never playing it on PS3 before is as good of a excuse as any to replay it.

Not sure why I skipped it when it originally came out on the PS3, but that will be remedied someday now after finding a very reasonably priced brand new copy of it on eBay recently. Not sure when I'll play it, but I'm glad to have it and I look forward to playing it someday.

@KilloWertz I’ve been meaning to get that at some point. I really enjoyed it back when it was released.

I picked up Hydrophobia from the PlayStation Store for under £2. Not sure why it’s so cheap. The water effects still hold up extremely well.

@Bentleyma I still have Hydrophobia installed on my PS3 from when it was a PS Plus offering. I never played it though, and I may not after reading now that they never finished the story since the first chapter bombed. I'm guessing that's also why it's dirt cheap.

Very pleased to report that I've just picked up both Devil May Cry: HD Collection AND Devil May Cry 4 as my very first purchases for my newly-refurbished PS3!

Anyone who's known my presence on both PS and NLife will be acutely aware of how much of a Capcom fanboy I am. What started off as just a passing interest in Ace Attorney has quickly spiralled into me wanting to play almost every Capcom series I can (currently made my way through Ace Attorney, Street Fighter, Mega Man, Zack & Wiki and Ghost Trick so far!). And, other than arguably Resident Evil, no other yet-to-be-touched Capcom series has captured my interest quite like Devil May Cry. Fantastic characters, infectious gameplay, an utterly incredible sense of style and that signature level of lovable Capcom cheesiness all culminate to create an experience unlike anything else in the hack-n-slash genre. And for an absurdly cheap price of €18 total? I couldn't think of a better time to pick these up 😎

I'll most likely be documenting my eventual playthroughs of all four of these on here so look forward to the ramblings of a guy who's most likely going to get way too attached to suave white-haired demon slayers XD
